MY STORY
Two Passions. One Purpose.
All Rooted in Faith.
Joyfully Rooted was born from two simple truths — that moments are worth capturing, and that beauty is worth creating. I am Sierra, a photographer and handmade nail artist based out of Michigan, and everything I do is rooted in faith, joy, and the belief that the little things in life are actually the big things.
For three years I have been showing up for people on their most important days with. my camera — and somewhere along the way, a second passion started to grow. What began as doing my own nails turned into something I never expected: a whole new way to create something beautiful for the people around me.
Joyfully Rooted is where both of these worlds live — photography that captures your most joyful moments, and handmade custom press on nails that let you wear a little piece of joy every single day.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
It started with
my momma.
My love for photography didn't start three years ago when I launched my business. It started long before that — with a lesson my momma taught me that I have never forgotten.
"Take as many pictures as you can, because one day that is all you will have left of someone."

Those words shaped the way I see the world and the reason I do what I do Every time I pick up my camera, I think about her. Every time I show up for someone's session, I am carrying that lesson with me Photography isn't just a job for me — it is a calling, a gift, and an act of love.

HOW THE NAILS STARTED
A secon passion
nobody saw coming.
I have always loved doing my own nails. But the real turning point came when people kept stopping me — at sessions, at events, just out running errands — grabbing my hand and asking "where did you get those done?"
Every single time I had to say... I did them myself. And every single time, I watched the same look of surprise cross their face. That is when the idea started to take root.
I could not do the same process on someone else's nails — but I could create something equally beautiful that they could wear. And that is exactly how custom press on nails became part of Joyfully Rooted. Handcrafted, custom fit to your nails, and designed from scratch just for you.
